About the Speakers Angela R. Elbert chairs Neal Gerber Eisenberg's Directors’ & Officers’ Insurance Practice Group and is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. She counsels clients, including numerous non-profit organizations and their boards, on complex insurance coverage issues and helps them obtain the maximum recovery possible when claims arise. She focuses her practice on advising companies and boards of directors on a wide variety of risk management issues and has significant experience in handling complex insurance coverage litigation with an emphasis on representing policyholders in insurance coverage disputes nationwide involving virtually every line of insurance. Lisa A. Stegink is a founding member of Chicago Law Partners, LLC. Lisa counsels trade and professional associations and related not-for-profit organizations on corporate governance, intellectual property, contract, tax, electronic communication, general liability, antitrust, certification and credentialing, and related matters. Lisa frequently counsels not-for-profit directors on their legal and fiduciary duties, including practical advice on how to be an effective board member and how to reach solutions focused on purposes and goals, not just specific outcomes. Jack Cook is the President of Cook and Kocher Insurance Group, Inc. Jack has over 20 years of insurance experience. He participated in the esteemed Aetna Prime Training Program where he was awarded the honor of “Agent of the Year”. He has also earned the professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and a Registered Health Underwriter (RHU). Karl Kocher is the Vice President of Cook and Kocher Insurance Group, Inc. Karl has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry beginning at AETNA Life and Casualty and Lloyds of London as an underwriting assistant in 1989. After graduating from the University of Florida, Karl was trained and worked for both Royal Insurance and The Hartford Insurance Company as an Underwriter. At both companies, Karl worked with large property and Inland/Ocean Marine risks located throughout the United States. After his underwriting career, in 1997, Karl began working as a broker and continues to work as a partner of Cook and Kocher Insurance Group in Park Ridge, IL.
